The Problem
Adobe Stock has been flooded with AI-generated content.
What used to be the best platform for awkwardly posed corporate photos with suspiciously cheerful people has transformed into a sea of artificially generated mediocrity. Each search now feels like wading through a bland, algorithm-generated swamp in the heart of the uncanny valley.
But worry not, the solution is simple.
The Temporary Solution
Adobe does offer a way to filter out AI content. It's relatively simple:
- Click on the Filters icon.
- Scroll down to "Generative AI".
- Select "Exclude Generative AI"

But here's the catch: This filter doesn't stick. Every single time you start a new search, you'll need to manually re-apply this filter.
The Permanent Solution
Good news. The filter works by adding a URL parameter: ?filters%5Bgentech%5D=exclude
. This means you can create bookmarkable links that automatically exclude AI content.
So go through the process above for each content-type, and bookmark the page after applying the filter.
Or, to make life easier, use these:
- Images: https://stock.adobe.com/search/images?filters%5Bgentech%5D=exclude
- Videos: https://stock.adobe.com/search/video?filters%5Bgentech%5D=exclude
- Everything: https://stock.adobe.com/search?filters%5Bgentech%5D=exclude
And that's it! Just use your bookmarked links whenever you need to search Adobe Stock, and you'll avoid swimming through a cesspool of AI-generated content.
